Cutting-hedge technology
Updated: Oct 16, 2021
Saggy hedge? Unruly? Encroaching on a public walkway? Or just a bit annoying to look at...
Chances are it's been cut incorrectly for many years in order to get into that sort of a state, so don't blame the hedge! The top gets too heavy for its little legs to hold up, and so you have this sort of thing:

If you ignore it, the problem will continue to keep growing (as will the hedge, they love a bit of growing). The problem won't go away:

The usual method is to cut back hard, taking the bulk off the top in order to re-establish balance and proper structure. In this case, the client's hedge was to the front of the property so cutting back to the woody structure would have left them with a very unsightly hedge, we wanted to keep this to a minimum. I opted for an alternative method and we were very pleased with the result.

As you can see, there are solutions to every garden problem and part of the fun for us is in the solving these problems for you, and the reward is immediately seeing the fruits of the labour!
Don't let a niggling garden issue grow into a big one, let me know, I'd love to help!
Have a great weekend!
